OPEN WATER ROW

Nick Fuller Uncategorized

Had our first offshore open water row today from Green Island to Jolly Beach , twenty miles in five hours in 15 to 18kts wind and 8 to 10 foot swells.

Archie’s walking around the boat out there like he’s got velcrow on the bottom of his feet ; he casually remarked that he’ll finally be able to get a good rest and some proper sleep when we cross the pond . Really ?? What a guy .
We actually today crossed the official race finish line , a line between the Pillars of Hercules area and a point a mile south from there .

It was a good trip and did two hours on and two off , all coped very well with no problems at all . Even had my first sleep in the bow cabin between the shift ; slept like a baby . Cruised down inside Cades Reef at a comfortable
four to five knots .

Got towed back to home (Shell Beach Marina ) by Derek Biel in our pirogue the Green fig .
Hopefully of to St. Kitts next weekend .
